1-0: The Great Dallas Molly Whopping

Brother you are GYAT damn right we back. Victory Monday is here.
You like that??? You like that opening night beatdown?? How good does that fucking feel man. Crisp offensive execution on strategic and thoughtful play calling. Effective special teams. Enough* defense to keep the game under control the whole time (would’ve loved some more pass rush but that’s a good O Line they got there).
Really nothing all that special on offense either. We can run the ball straight down your throat behind a fullback or a tight end, we can run the ball with the quarterback by design or by improv, we can also effectively run via that swing pass to the running back which we ran essentially 4 plays straight to score our last TD (one was technically a little toss sweep from shotgun to the same side so virtually the same play) and when you start playing the run we have seams for Likely to find a gap in zone coverage (he’s such a beast), we have Nabers looking basically 100% getting open and making plays after the catch, we have Mooney getting involved down the field, and I REALLY liked what I saw out of rookie Malachi Fields even though he only actually caught I think one ball (he had a sick catch out of bounds that was a super athletic play). BTW, The Oracle wasn’t the only one to take notice of Fields’ play in his NFL debut:

He sure as heck looked pretty freakin legit Dez! Good eye Dez! In fact, I’d like to offer Dez a free membership to Giants Oracle Premium©️™️ (patent pending all rights reserved) for his brilliant powers of observation. That’s just the type of guy I am. I’ll send him a tee shirt too fuck it.
But can I tell you guys something for real?
…
We felt it coming in the parking lot 🤫
The tailgate was BUZZING. Something different was in the air in East Rutherford - and it wasn’t just the swamp grass. It seemed like all the Giants fans held a quiet confidence while the Cowboys fans were spouting their typical arrogance and cocky bullshit. They thought it was just another cake walk through MetLife stadium. It was like we all had a little secret that the Cowboys fans didn’t know. We knew this ass whooping was coming in the PARKING LOT BABY. THESE AINT DABOLL’S GIANTS. THIS AINT QB SNEAK ON 3RD AND 8 FROM THE 5 YARD LINE AGAINST THE COMMANDERS - GIANTS. THESE ARE THE FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS. 1-0 AND ITS DAK SUCKS DALLAS SUCKS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Obvious 9/11 memorial pre-game energy and general national pride aside, MetLife no longer felt like a welcoming venue for the visiting team. That’s the type of edge we have been missing for like a decade or more. The “na na na na hey hey hey goodbye” chants at the end directed to the sad, fat, downtrodden Cowboys fans trudging their sad fat asses out of the stadium were truly decadent. Simply delicious. Get the fuck outta here back to Dallas and don’t come back next year! After that first offensive drive people were looking around like “holy shit we look so good.” Better than we looked all last year. Same talent but more control. We convert 3rd and 9’s now. We can make a play when we need to and it doesn’t look like it was an accident / miracle. We have multiple weapons and can pivot between options where and when we need to.
Now I couldddddd take this opportunity to shit all over Tyrone Tracy who was perhaps legitimately the only downside of the entire offense all night with his fumble. I couldddddd give you the update on Najee Harris https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/giants-najee-harris-healthy-scratch-week-1/
(Great to see links are still broken. Fuckin mid-season form from Wix) and talk about how he should be taking every snap that goes to Tracy and I will be waiting with bated breath to see if he plays in LA next week. And I couldddddd note that Odell’s biggest contribution was actually as a decoy go-route to run off a corner while Dart rushed that side of the field behind him (I think that could’ve been some sort of an option - deep ball to Odell or run - which would have been fucking amazing). But I’m going to be the bigger man here and be happy with a HUGE division win in front of the nation. We’ve all earned that. I remember sitting in the fucking rain watching those Cowboys kick our ass and put up damn near 40 in the first half on a Sunday night opener not too long ago.
But that was then. That’s history. We are living in the future. And the future looks bright.
Everything is electric right now. The Harbaugh Era has begun. And as predicted by your Oracle, we molly-whopped the fuck out of Dallas in front of the nation on Sunday night football despite everything you THOUGHT you knew about the Giants. And btw you know who didn’t look great this week? The Rams. Oh and who do they no longer have available on defense? Oh Myles Garret?? Huh, well that’s incredibly good timing. I still have us losing but “looking like we should/could have won,” but if I’m ready to be surprised by anything it’s us starting out 2-0. Can you imagine????
We fucking move. McVay looks like an elf.
